| For the 2001 model year, the ECHO returns with minimal changes to the interior and exterior. The ECHO is available in two and four door models. It is powered by a 1.5L 108-hp four-cylinder engine. Coupled with a standard five-speed manual transmission, the ECHO offers 34 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. A four-speed automatic transmission is optional. Other available options include side impact air bags, anti-lock brakes, daytime running lights and upgradable sound options. Air conditioning, sport body cladding and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat are also available. Standard equipment includes a tilt steering wheel, multi-reflector headlamps, color-keyed bumpers, front disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. |
