| More Information |
| Mitsubishis newest SUV is a 5-passenger midsize based on the companys 2004 Galant sedan platform. Endeavor matches the Honda Pilot in overall length, but is narrower and lighter. Mitsubishis larger Montero SUV donates a 3.8-liter V6 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission with manual shift gate. Like most car-based SUVs, Endeavor offers front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive without low-range gearing; the AWD is not intended for severe off-roading. The base LS model has black exterior accents. The volume-leading XLS gets chrome touches. The top-line Limited is color keyed. All have a liftgate with separate opening glass, 17-inch alloy wheels, and 4-wheel disc brakes. ABS is standard on all but the 2WD LS, where its optional. Traction control is standard on 2WD XLS and 2WD Limited, optional on 2WD LS. An antiskid/traction control system is available for AWD Limiteds. Front side airbags are standard on XLS and Limited, not offered on LS; curtain side airbags are unavailable. |
