JBL is a well known manufacturer of speakers and speaker systems used in high end home stereo and home theater systems. Media System 2000 is JBL's top of the line speaker system for multimedia computers. They can also be used for personal stereo systems in place of the headphones.The styling of the speakers is apart from other multimedia speaker systems and it is quite attractive. The satellite speakers can tilt in 3 preset positions. The case is a dark bronze color.The satellites and the subwoofer are plugged into the AC line separately. No power cubes are used. The front of the left satellite speaker has a three controls (volume, treble and bass). Even though not depicted in the above picture, the subwoofer also has a volume control. The volume control on the left satellite speaker controls the volume of all the speakers in the system. There is no power switch.
