Not only do they give you more music than conventional 5-disc carousels, they make it easier to record "greatest hits" tapes. They also enable you to add, remove, or replace up to five discs without interrupting the disc playing. A single-bit D/A converter works at extremely high speed. If it's unstable, timing errors (jitter) may occur, resulting in muddy bass or midrange distortion. Onkyo's proprietary AccuPulse Quartz System provides the necessary stability for accurate single-bit D/A conversion. It has a small, bar-shaped oscillator mounted on Polysorb, a special damping material developed by Onkyo to eliminate vibration. So you hear only the ultra fine resolution of music details and sweeter sounding quiet passages. |
