Details: AAEFCU was founded in 1936 by a small group of American Airlines employees at Midway Airport in Chicago. Their vision, which remains true today, was to create a member owned, co-operative financial institution where all employees of American Airlines could assist each other financially. The Credit Union helps members finance automobiles, mortgages, boats, airplanes, vacations, and education for themselves and their children. Because the Credit Union is a not for profit organization, loan rates are generally lower than those offered by for-profit financial institutions.
