| After one of his friend's body washes up near Shadow Island, supernatural detective Edward Carnby decides to investigate. He discovers that his friend was looking for three tablets that are rumored to be the key to a great power. Carnby takes over his friend's quest, but he does not go alone, archaeologist Aline Cedrac joins him. Now, the two must use their limited resources to reveal what is happening on Shadow Island. You play as either character, and you will have to explore more than 1,200 rooms to find clues and items and battle the minions of evil with an arsenal of supernatural weapons. Throughout the adventure, the main source of illumination is a flashlight, which gives the entire game a spooky look and helps to create an eerie atmosphere. It's up to you to help Carnby and Cedrac discover the truth behind Shadow Island in ALONE IN THE DARK: The New Nightmare. |
