There's classically good fun for four in Titus' mythical mauling Pak. F69As the name points out, Xena Warrior Princess: The Talisman of Fate is a 3-D fighting game featuring the stars of Xena: Warrior Princess. Up to four players can fight simultaneously, choosing from 11 combatants. The classical characters include Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer, Ares and the beautiful but deadly Callisto. In addition to special attacks and taunts, each character is armed with his or her signature weapon for hand-to-hand havoc. Single players can fight their way through a grueling tournament, in a quest to recover the Talisman of Fate from the devilish Despair. Each character has a unique ending, which adds some incentive for lone gamers to ascend the tournament ladder with different warriors. Computer-controlled competition is not as fearsome as it should be, but the developers at Saffire still have time to beef up the artificial intelligence before the release date arrives. |
