BAILE DE LOS LOCOS, the second Epitaph release from ska-punk veterans the Voodoo Glow Skulls, is one of the band's most focused expressions of its funky, horn-and-guitar-fueled musical stew. The sound suggests the Mighty Mighty Bosstones grafted over a wall of more aggressive solid-state guitar reminiscent of such West Coast brethren as Suicidal Tendencies. But for all the roiling guitars and churning drums on BAILE DE LOS LOCOS, the concentration of infectious horn hooks maintains an upbeat, innocuous party-like vibe.
