Umberto Lenzi (CANNIBAL FEROX) directed this CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST like horror movie, an unintentionally hilarious pastiche of elements from other cannibal movies. Janet Agren stars as Sheila Morris, a young executive from a New York City corporation who is sent off to Malaysia to team up with a mercenary named Mark Butler (Kerman) to destroy a cannibalistic cult headed by a fanatic named Jonas Melvyn. Soon, Sheila and Mark are fending off hordes of flesh hungry cannibals only to discover that Jonas is behind the cannibal attack and has gone completely mad. Filled with hilarious and inane dialogue, gratuitous nudity, and footage lifted from past films like JUNGLE HOLOCAUST, EATEN ALIVE is an entertaining and often very funny movie. |
