In 1959 Baltimore, Danny is a young boy who wants to climb a local radio tower before it gets torn down to prove his courage, while his father is mocked for not having served in the military. One of Danny's neighbors, Chuck (John Hurt), is an embittered and aging former engineer who offers to help Danny plan to climb the tower, leading to an intense and heartwarming adventure for all concerned. THE CLIMB is a well-crafted family film featuring a terrific performance from the always-dependable Hurt. |
