Based on the novel by cunning parody writer Terry Pratchett, SOUL MUSIC, a part of the DISCWORLD series, takes on the amoral and harmful world of rock 'n' roll. When an innocent teenage harpist from a small town looks to become rock's next big thing, he is plucked up by a horn-playing dwarf and a troll who bashes rocks. When he suddenly finds a magic guitar, he renames himself Buddy and begins climbing the fast and furious road to stardom. This animated film is a hilarious critique of popular culture,which again proves Pratchett's worth as a master of the parody. |
