Details: Inspector Gadget, a cartoon cross between Maxwell Smart from GET SMART (Don Adams provides Gadget's voice) and Inspector Clouseau from Peter Sellers' PINK PANTHER movies, packs a surreal pop-up arsenal at all times, including helicopter blades and mechanical arms. His nemesis, Dr. Claw of M.A.D. (voiced by Frank Welker), remains a worthy adversary in this animated television series, which ran from 1983 to 1986. Episodes include "Down on the Farm," "Gadget in Winterland," "The Amazon," "Gadget at the Circus," and "Monster Lake." These cartoon characters later provided the inspiration for a popular 1999 live-action movie.
