Their latest effort-- NHL 2000 --continues their market dominance by adding a wealth of new features and improvements over last year's version. At first glance, NHL 2000 resembles last year's graphically stunning feast for the eyes, but does include multiple visual upgrades such as crisper player models and better animation. After playing NHL 2000 for a game or two, especially in one of the television-style camera modes, you'll find it hard to distinguish from the real thing. Fortunately, playing NHL 2000 provides as much enjoyment as watching; the controls are rock solid and elements like scoring and goalie intelligence have been fine-tuned to offer a more realistic hockey experience.
