Pros: They are affordable for anyone that wishes to skate once or twice a year.
Cons: The skate is not made for people that wish to roller skate properly.

This quad skate is made by the venerable Roller Derby Company located in Litchfield Illinois. Known historically for their quality skates, this quad skate is nothing like any of their other skates for the following reasons.

1. The plate is plastic and has no moving trucks. This means that the skate goes straight forward and cannot turn like roller skates that have moveable trucks with cushions that can be adjusted to suit the skater.

2. The bearings in the wheels of this skate do not allow the wheels to turn freely, thus not rolling well no matter how hard you push.

3. The boot of the skate is vinyl which in itself isn't a crime and has been used on skates for years. Just know that unless a boot has a material that allows your feet to 'breathe', they will become hot. Wear thick socks.

This skate is not worth the plastic it is made out of and should not be sold as anything but a toy.
