| Pillar's Full Review: Champion Underwire Comfort Bra |
I never thought that I‘d be writing a review about a bra . . but here I am. I feel very self-conscious divulging my measurements to my new friends here at epinions, but I feel that by doing so, women of like build can understand how this bra may fit them. I just came home from an hour of bra shopping. Yes, it takes me at least an hour, in the bra section, to find one bra. The reason for this is, all bras fit differently (okay ladies, let out a loud duh). I happen to be a 38 DD, and in my experience, as you move up the ranks so to speak, the more difficult it is to find a bra that fits. What does this have to do with the Champion Sport Bra? It happened to be the most comfortable and best fitting bra I purchased tonight (Just for the sake of reference, I usually wear Olga). Unbelievable, but true!
While browsing the bra racks (no pun intended), I noticed that the larger the bra, the less attractive it seems to make you. I was getting very discouraged, so I decided to really let myself have it, and try to find a sport bra. I was thinking I would get totally fed up, and just leave Macy’s and end this self-inflicted torture. Usually the only bras I see in the “sport” section, are really not bras at all, but glorified tank tops. I’m sorry, but I could do major damage to myself, and the eyesight of others if I try to do any type of workout in one of those uniboob contraptions.
But, alas, I saw a bra that was like no other. It was the “Intense Activity Motion Control”, Underwire Bra, made by Champion. After I regained my composure from laughing out loud at the name, I quickly found my size and made a mad dash to the fitting room. To actually see a bra that could possibly provide support for the mega boob'd, and see it in my size, I was elated.
In the dressing room, I strap this sporty harness on, and proceed to jump up and down. I know I must have looked pretty ridiculous to the hidden cameras (I always assume there is some pervert watching, so I don’t get too freaked out when it really happens), but compared to the moaning and groaning I heard from the lady in the room next to me, I didn’t care. (On a side note, I have noticed that people make the oddest noises when trying on clothes, especially bras - huffing, puffing, groaning, weird breathing . . that or they are having an extracurricular activity, and I’m too naďve to realize.) Back to the jumping jacks. I have to admit, my breasts did little moving, and I could still breathe. In fact the bra was actually comfortable!
Second in importance to stopping the bounce and jiggle, is how does this bra make your breasts look? I’d have to say, mine looked darn perky and natural. I didn’t have the deformed uniboob, or the “smash boob”, and I didn’t have ta ta’s leaking out the sides of the bra. I’m seriously thinking about making this a daily wear. The only negative thing about this bra is that it isn’t pretty. It looks utilitarian, and it is. This bra says, even though you have DD’s, I’ll let you jog, walk on the treadmill at brisk pace, heck; I’ll even let you do aerobics.
Here are the serious specifications from the tag on the bra
*Cushion tip prevents poke through – 3 layer Underwire channel
*Secure breast motion control & moisture management – Non-stretch Molded Cups
*Less bounce, custom fit – Adjustable Ridged Straps
*Ultimate support, comfort & fit – 59% Nylon, 22% Cotton / 19$ Lycra-Spandex back panel

This is what MCR means:
“Our exclusive Motion Control Requirements (MCR) rating system determines the degree of breast motion control a sports bra must give for optimal support and comfort. All Champion Intense Activity Motion Control sport bras are proportioned and MCR rated to provide the right support for your specific breast size and level of activity.”
Is really does say this on the tag, as much as I’d like to take credit for creating the MCR myself. More info on Champion Bras can be found at http://www.championjogbra.com.
