I started using Pea Pod with very limited expectations when it was first offered at my local grocery store. I figured it was a new program and there would be some glitches.
While I was impressed that all my deliveries were delivered either before or at the specified time, I was upset that on several occasions I was charged for items that "disappeared" from the order. ( I wouldn't have minded so much but it was the thanksgiving dinner turkey that really set me off.) I called the local grocery store and they asked me to come down to pick up the missing items. No problem, but when the Pea Pod "Manager" dragged me down to some darkened loading dock to show me how the orders were processed and then started telling me I couldn't possibly be missing any items and I was mistaken, I started to get ticked.
I did complain to the Pea Pod corporate offices and received a very quick response as well as several discounts on future orders. I did continue to use the service until I was notified that due to a lack of participation in my area the service was being discontinued.
I think I would try the service again as my situation seemed like an isolated incident.
