I'm a little confused, you would not recommend the RN position, but you would recommend the cardiac technician position? Is that correct. Overall, very informative.

...although I wasn't direclty involved in patient care (registration clerk) I saw the same types of things you describe. I'm glad I'm out. God help us all if they ever socialize mediciene.

There is nothing worse than being in a vulnerable position in the hospital as you well know. It's got to be difficult not suffer burnout too since you have been doing this for so long. The nursing shortage in Minneapolis has gotten to a critical point just recently and they are offering sensational bonuses to get good people-- should I say, any people. That's scary, especially with so many of us baby boomers coming up in age now.
Glad to know there's still some of the good ones left out there, and you surely in that category! God bless you for doing a very demanding job!

WOT to work with you every day and we like to encourage one another. You do good work, woman! Thanks for providing this information to people who aren't aware what a crisis this has become. I was in one of those telemetry beds and I was scared out of my mind. Everyone from techs to nurses where nothing but attentive altho I was keenly aware of the situation and didn't want to EVER ask for something.
Thankfully,
Tang
