This site did not impress me a great deal. I will agree it has a lot of information that is helpful to the new college graduate, or other persons who are not well-versed in the job hunting arena. However, the articles and tips are not anything that hasn't been said a hundred times before.
As someone who has been on the job for quite a long time, I can speak as a veteran. I have used quite a number of job search engines and this one was not that impressive. I compared careerbuilder's engine with those that I normally use, and it came up short. As in 0 results. That is very disappointing to someone who knows that the jobs are out there. And before you ask, yes I used the most general terms, specifying only one keyword (very common) and a location.
The mega search engine was very useful. That is the bright spot for this web site. I found a handful of useful results, though every single valid result was from another search engine. I also found that going directly to the search engines separately found more accurate results.
In conclusion, I would recommend careerbuilder to the new person looking for a job. However, to the seasoned professional I say checkout the more well-developed engines.
