In my search of home-based grocery shopping, WholeFoods was one of my first attempts at such. After having such a genuinely great experience with them, I was only encouraged to continue in my online efforts.
Being able to sort through my grocery list (the non-perishables, mind you) in my pajamas... or whatever I choose, at any time of day or night, is what most attracts me to these venues. Sure, sometimes prices are not hugely better (the same goes for your local grocery stores) and shipping can throw you off. WholeFoods will allow you free shipping if you spend over $50 (that may be for a limited time, but I did use it!) So if you are choosey in your shopping you should come out ahead.
I was most impressed with the availability of "natural" and "organic" items that even our local health food store no longer carries. I was excited to find my natural Cheese Puffs, Annie's macaroni, and more great items at reasonable (if not excellent) prices.
The shipment came promptly and in wonderful condition. Everything was packed sufficiently (bottles wrapped extra secure), nothing was dented, crushed, or even broken in the slightest.
