Pros: Look, I'm trying OK! Oh yeah - they aren't Air France. Cons: Disappearing stewardesses, Cramped aircraft, lousy food, worse timekeeping.
The Airports Heathrow is never fun to traverse at the best of times, but there is a lot of shopping and stuff to do - as you'd expect from the world's busiest International airport. Getting to it is easy as you have a choice of the Tube (Nightmare with ...

Pros: excellent food, reasonable price, relaible, the national airline of italy Cons: no television on board
When deciding what airline to fly to Italy with I looked at all the different companies. I wasn't to bothered about who I flew with as long as the price was right. I looked at Aer Lingus and British Airways both though were very expensive. So then I...

Pros: Reliable, quick check-in with nice efficient agents, relatively friendly crews. Cons: Luggage problems on connecting flights, no coffee/tea, minimal food on domestic flights.
We flew on Alitalia in economy class on a 1 hour 20 minute domestic flight between Rome and Catania, Sicily. We were making a connection in Rome and were advised to give ourselves sufficient time to pick-up and re-check our bags,as Alitalia and Rome and M ...

Pros: Good international flights. Cons: They will loose your luggage, they won't find it and they won't even help.
I have flown a lot in lots of companies (Iberia, Alitalia, Continental, Northwest, United, Air Canada, Westjet, KLM, British Airways and Air France). The ones I like the most are the European ones, my favorites are Iberia, KLM, British Airways and ...

Pros: Service, comfort, luggage efficiency (believe it or not!) Cons: had to check 22in bag
A caveat: this review likely will not pertain to economy class, but for those of you who have the cash or flyer miles for the upgrade... read on! I flew Alitalia in Magnifica class (Boeing 777) from New York JFK to Rome overnight, and again returning ...

Pros: Cheap, on time, good safety record Cons: Old planes with cramped seats
This is the second time I have used Alitalia for an overseas flight and some things haven't improved much since 1996!! Unfortunately, tour companies LOVE to book their clients on this airline because it is a great way to keep the costs down.

Pros: the plane didn't crash Cons: no customer service
Several of us recently arrived in Israel to take part in a university program. One gentleman came with his wife and a 3 year-old son in tow. Alitalia lost five out of six of their checked bags. Arriving in Israel on Friday night, they were unable to go...

Pros: Pilots and fares Cons: A travel agent's nightmare, and sometimes a passenger's as well
I have been selling Alitalia for a very, very long time, because unfortunately, in Italy where I live and work, Alitalia is by far the largest airline, also because of the Italian government's involvement (it's the biggest stockholder and weren't it for...

Pros: Cheap flights and good coverage in EU, good alliance partners via SkyTeam Cons: Unreliable sevice, old plains, irresponsible crews, short connections, poor logistics, lost luggages
I love Italy; it is a unique place where culture intertwines with history whose deep roots go back thousands of years. When you fly to Milans Malpensa Airport, you clearly see the face of Italy: mode haute couture and Ferrari. Well if these are the ...

Pros: i arrived at my destination in one piece Cons: late, inefficent boarding process, bad food, no entertainment
I wish I'd been allowed to operate a video camera on-board during the 11 hour Alitalia flight I took from Chicago to Milan, because if I had been able to do so, I would've been the first person in history to videotape a flying sardine can, and the money ...
