Did I book this right?

As the owner of a travel agency, I have found that clients who are booking tickets through the internet are making a lot of mistakes. They then call us to straighten out the mess and we have to tell them that we are sorry but we cannot touch tickets booked through the internet and they will have to call the airlines directly. We are not allowed to touch ticketing stock other than our own. This makes a few clients a little irate but we are sorry to say that these are the rules.
We have had persons booking their tickets and ending up going to the wrong city. There is nothing we can do about it. Also, all the tickets on the net are electronic tickets and we did find that at Christmas this year (99) that some clients who had booked tickets on the net had called in to check their seating preferences and were told that they didn't have anything booked with them. They had to purchase last minute tickets from us which resulted in higher fares. We really felt sorry for them.
My best advice is to let the professionals handle the job for you. Your travel agents can give you advisories on different locations and take the stress of trying to figure out the scheduling for you. We know where to look and get you the best prices.
I know that this sounds like I am downing the net which I am not. I am just trying to stress that you wouldn't take your pet to an auto mechanic to be treated so why not let the professionals do the jobs that they are trained to do.
We really enjoy booking for our clients and get to know their traveling habits and where they like to sit on the planes and their personal preferences on rates, places to stay, etc. We can also keep them posted on specials to places that interest them. One call to us and they can relax knowing that we have done a good job for them.
