BestFares: Can I have an itemized receipt?

We recently joined Best Fares and found that the site sometimes 'freezes' which is frustrating. However, even more annoying was our first attempt to purchase an airline ticket through their service.
When I dialed the 888 number for that particular special, an 'agent' for Best Fares told me that I had to set up my itinerary with the airline and call back to make the purchase through Best Fares. The airline had not been identified in the advertisement, but at least now I knew which one to call (TWA.) So, I spent some time with a TWA agent figuring out the best itinerary and called Best Fares back. Even though the advertisement claimed 9am-6pm hours, I got a recording after 5pm. I live in California, and it was just after 3pm, yet I could not access anyone at Best Fares.
This morning, I called Best Fares with the itinerary. The 'agent' then told me the total for the airfare. It was going to be $90 more than the advertisement and $190 more than the teaser that I had originally looked into on that site. When I asked for a break-out of the extra fees, the woman told me there was a $25 surcharge for the return which I already expected (because the return is for Nov. 27th) and that the rest was taxes, and airport fees. $65 in taxes and airport fees? Something wasn't making sense. (Ironically, $65+ is what we had paid for a membership fee last month when we joined!)
I asked again for an itemization of the charges and was put on hold. This time she came back saying that only the total amount would be available on a receipt, repeating again that the difference was in taxes and fees..., however, this time she added one other word: COMMISSION. I responded that any legitimate business should not have difficulty in providing a complete receipt. I asked to speak with a manager, but was put into someone's voicemail. I left a message before calling a customer service number.
The Best Fares operator did the best she could with my request and took the information saying that someone would get back to me. Guess what? NO RESPONSE! Tomorrow is the last day to purchase this fare, too. Hmmmmmm...
After already PAYING A MEMBERSHIP FEE and DOING THE "LEG WORK" TO SET THE ITINERARY, WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO PAY A "COMMISSION" and mysterious "fees" and then have to BEG FOR A COMPLETE RECEIPT???
Needless to say, I'm still looking for a round-trip flight home for our son during Thanksgiving break from Boston to SFO. Suggestions, anyone?
