Great Divide Montana

This ski hill is located a short distance from the state Capitol of Helena, Montana. The hill has a lift, and various runs with names like the Black Diamond. This is an economical ski resort. But the most important aspect is that if you are looking for a place to introduce young athletes to skiing, snowboarding, this is the place.

The staff has no charge lessons on the bunny hill, the equipment rental is economical, and best of all the place likes kids. While most natural spots could use some snow, this place has enough to make the half day or full day worth it.

While Bridger,Big Sky and the like have more thrills for the advanced athlete, the price goes up accordingly. If you visit the central part of Montana or are driving through, this is a nice half day stop over. If you stay over night, the motels, and some bed and breakfast are reasonable. A trip to the local Grub Stake for a steak is worth the stay.

I am writing this review because the staff and owners of this ski resort were particularly nice to my son and subsequently to his 5th grade class.
