Down Town Disney is the place to be! We went to Pleasure Island and hung out for a while the first day. It has a strip of bars, restaurants, shops and a few attractions.
As we walked a large ivory colored theater caught our attention. There was a circus show and we purchased tickets for the next evening. The 6pm show was sold out so, it was the 9pm show and we would miss the parade at Epcot. I wasn't happy about that but, changed my mind about that real quick.
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, La Nouba is really not a circus it doesn't have animals, straw and doesn't smell.
The flyer states "Calling Cirque Du Soleil a circus is like calling the Superbowl a backyard football game." NEW YORK TIMES REGIONAL NEWSPAPERS.
I honestly didn't know what to expect. Tickets were $70.00 each and it was well worth it. The theater is designed so everyone can see the show, There were no heads in the way.
When you walk in, it is like a movie theater with the snack and drink lines and restroom signs.
They sell memorabilia in a specialty shop and it is costly, as most special attraction are. No yelling like the circus, PROGRAMS! GET YOUR PROGRAMS!
This is not just for adults but I didn't know where to put this epinions the whole family will enjoy this attraction. If you go to Disney this is a must see attraction.
We were seated by an usher, and shortly after 2 clowns entered and started playing with the people coming in the door, assisting them to their seats. They would drag any willing soul all over the theater, onto the stage and leave them standing there, it was pretty funny. They did a lot of cute things to keep us entertained until the show started.
CIRQUE DU SOLEIL
The show started with a man walking very intensely around the stage in a singlet. (I didn't get that part.) He did perform later on in the show.
It was a combination of talent from that point.
High wire act, acrobats, trapeze, 4 little girls juggling. Juggling doesn't sound like much, those little girls couldn't have been 5 years old and they were the best I have ever watched. There where 2 large spheres with people inside of them and they did stunts together and by themselves. It peaked as the show continued with the finale, a trampoline act. They used a wall in this act, and would jump on the trampoline and land on the top of wall, do a triple flip and land on the side of the wall. You just have to see it to believe it.
It was very entertaining.
No pictures or video cameras were aloud. That would be the best way to explain what the show was really about. It is awesome and lasted almost 2 hours.
This show is a variety of daring outrageous acts. The atmosphere is magical and mystifying. It was great!
