Planning Your Own Disney Honeymoon

When we were planning our Disney Honeymoon we looked over many over priced plans where you go on a "Honeymoon Trip" and they give you a few things like just married hats and a fruit basket in your room and truthfully you can get that stuff on your own a lot cheaper.
If money isn't an issue, which to us it was, then you can do those packages and not regret it. But for us we really made our own package and spent a lot less.
We got basic accommodations and a super duper hopper pass, and other than our flight and rental car, we had the rest of our wedding money to spend on food and ourselves.
In the packages you get the "JustMarried" hats and tee shirts, and the weirdo I am, I really wanted them. So, when we got to the Magic Kingdom we spotted a hat Store on Main Street USA which sold bride and groom hats. I loved them! The bride's was a white cap with a vail and two mouse ears, and the grooms was a black top hat with mouse ears on the sides. They were much better than the baseball cap that said "JustMarried" on them.
We spent most of our money eating at some of the best restaurants in Disney and buying gifts for our families.
Planning a honeymoon on your own takes a little more time, but when you come right down to it I think we had a lot more fun!
