Smooth Last-Minute Tickets!

Here's a scenario for you. It's Monday night. Mom needs a ticket home to LAX from Vegas for Wednesday morning. Need to make sure we have a seat so she doesn't get stuck there and miss her meeting.
Timing
I figured it was about time to try an online ticket seller. I'd heard lots of good things about different services, so I checked them out. After going to a good half dozen sites, I discovered that they all required anywhere from 48 hours to 7 days advance purchase. But I needed to get a ticket in less than a day and a half. Thankfully, Travelocity is around.
Travelocity requires, I believe, as little as 4 hours advance ticket purchase.
The Site
Travelocity is a useful, fairly simple site with a friendly interface. Enter the day you want to travel and the airports to and from (one way or roundtrip) and it gives you a list of possible flights, ordered by time of departure and by lowest price. As it turns out, there were a good half dozen acceptable flights, so we picked the one with the highest on-time rating (shown under "more information) and went to book. Booking is very straightforward... free registration, enter your credit card number, and you have tickets!
Getting Tickets
We chose the electronic ticket option. It said that all one needs to do is present ID at the ticket counter at the airport. It was that simple. Mom walked up to the airline counter, the attendant checked her in and gave her the ticket, 15 minutes before departure, and said "Maybe you can still catch the plane!" (turns out that it takes up to 20 minutes to get to a gate at the Las Vegas airport). Still, this was no fault of Travelocity, and she did catch the plane (they closed the door right behind her). Good thing the ticketing was so smooth.
The prices were not fantastic, but they were reasonable. I'd seen lower prices elsewhere, but they weren't available at such short notice.
