Dubai/UAE-Jewel of the Middle East

Let's face it...getting on a plane and traveling for 20hours (with all layovers) to go to the Middle East does not sound like fun, especially when the Middle East has such a "bad image" in the minds of most westerners....well Americans.
I am writing this in an attempt to change that mindset. I have traveled extensively, the world over and can honestly say that Dubai, UAE is one of my favorite places to visit. It is a city with some of the best restaurants in the world and arugably the best hotels and best shopping. Not to be missed is the gold souk. It is locate in Deira and is the only place, outside of Hong Kong, that you should ever consider buying 24k gold.
I recommend the following hotes: Jumeriah Beach Hotel, JW Marriott, Hyatt, and Royal Mirage.
The hospitality of this Arab nation is nothing short of the best in the world. I can not speak enough about the people
I highly recommend Dubai as a place to vacation.
