TOO EXPENSIVE TO SFO?

I live in an area that has only one airline out of town to San Francisco Airport. Because of this, the price to get out of this 'Dodge' is terribly high! Maybe, you have the same sort of problem in your area.
I have checked into how far I would need to drive, in order to take a shuttle to SFO. My checking has paid off, well. If I drive for 3 hours, I can get to Santa Rosa, where there is a shuttle that takes me directly to the airline I want to take out of SFO. Once at SFO, I can travel so cheaply, in comparison, that any other mode seems as if I would be throwing money away.
If driving three hours to get to the shuttle sounds expensive or too much trouble, consider this: it costs between $400 and $600 round trip to get from my area to SFO! Once I reach SFO, I can travel across country for less than $200.
The shuttle, here, allows for senior citizen discounts, which is a plus for me, as the age for their discount is 55. So, rather than paying $600 for that round trip, I pay for my car's gas, and then, I pay the shuttle a mere $25. round trip! For that much difference, I don't mind the inconvenience of driving to Santa Rosa.
Check your area for similar shuttle service. You might be surprised! Remember, if you were planning to drive to SFO and leave your car for any extended stay, the price for parking your car can be very high, also.
I am happy to be able to get from my area to Las Vegas for the price I just mentioned, plus taking a $90. round trip ticket out of SFO!
