Priceline airline tickets
Dec 25 '00
I had just moved from Seattle to SW Michigan, leaving my family and friends. I decided to give Priceline a shot at getting me home for Christmas. I am a pastor, so I had to fly out Christmas Day. As it turned out, the weather was so bad that I couldn't get to the airport.
I had e-mailed Priceline 12/21 about their policy in inclement weather, since things were not looking good. They responded by telling me to e-mail them if I couldn't get there and they would work with me "because they wanted to keep their customers happy."
HAH! This morning, Christmas Day, I attempted to drive 3 hours to O'Hare Airport at 3:30 am. The roads were so bad that I turned around. I e-mailed Priceline (as I was told to) and they responded with a "sorry, we have a policy. . .no changes." One minute they were willing to help me, the next not. So, here I am! Alone at Christmas and I can't afford to buy another ticket home. Priceline is more worried about policy than their customers.
DON'T USE THEM if there is any chance that something may go wrong with your travel plans.
