You Don't Have to Spend a Bundle!

When we planned our trip to DisneyWorld, we thought it best to get our tickets before we got to Florida. We searched the web for discount tickets and eventually purchased them at AAA saving about $5.00 per ticket.
When we got to Florida, we kept seeing a lot of signs saying Discount Tickets here. Interestingly enough, they are kiosks trying to sell time share properties. You can still get your tickets at a discount if you don't see the properties, but if you do they will buy you a meal and give you anywhere from $60-$80 for doing it. We didn't find this out until our last day there, but would have taken the 90 minute tour just to get the extra money.
The average cost for a T-Shirt at DisneyWorld was $26.00. There are plenty of gift stores outside the parks which advertise 3 to 6 shirts for $10.00. Don't be fooled by them because they aren't the quality or designs that you'll find at Disney. We had our children look at all the souveniers and then decide what they really wanted which we didn't purchase until the last day. It worked out well because there is SO much there that they saw something new that they wanted everyday! On the last day, they could only remember the things that REALLY made an impression on them. My daughters got mid-sized Minnies for $22.00. My son, believe it or not, got a box of Pokemon cards for $12.00 and a beanie Mickey Wizard from Fantasia for $10.00.
As for food in the parks...be careful! It's really outrageously priced...especially drinks! I highly recommend purchasing bottled water and then refilling them at one of the many water fountains. Meals at the park are at least $6.00 per person. Another suggestion would be to leave the park at mid-day and go back to your hotel for lunch and rest before returning later in the day.
Since it is possible to see this remarkable place on a budget, go and have a great time!
