The best airline for cheap airfairs
Dec 10 '00
I have wrote an epinion on how bad Ryanair's service is and how unreliable they are but as I stated in the previous epinion if it is cheap fairs you are looking for Ryanair is your best bet. As their slogan goes "Ryanair the low fares airline."
If you ring Ryanair you will get a decent quote and have no doubt it will be cheaper 99.9% of the time then airlines such as Aer Lingus or British Airways. But Ryanair has got with the times and has launched a state of the art website.
The website can be found at http://www.ryanair.com and as with Ryanair's ideas the paid only £15,000 to get it built by two school kids. Their website's slogan is "Ryanair the low fares website."
This is very true. If you ring Ryanair and say you wanted a flight from Dublin to Manchester they will quote you £75 each way but if you go to the website and you are flexible in regard to the number of nights you stay and the day you fly out and return you will get a quote for about £1 each way!
They have different offers every few days on their website so you have to book at the time you are on the site. Usually advance booking is only one or two days. But as I stated before in my other editorial airport tax is about £10 each way but this is still a brilliant price.
The website now accounts for over 50% of Ryanair's income and their share price has shot up since the website has been launched.
Booking on the site is easy and very safe. They do it in steps first you select your dates, destination etc. Then it shows you the cheapest fairs availible for the selected dates and destination. Then it shows you the total cost inclusive of airport tax and Value Added Tax. Then you simply type in your name, address etc. and your credit card number. Then you click the submit and your tickets are sent out in the post and usually arrived the next day.
But here is something you should know if you are going to book one of the cheap airfaires. Before going on to the booking section select terms and conditions take note of these.
Make sure you when filling in your booking form you put in the correct: travel period, the applicable day of the week is selected, you are in time for advance booking period, you have entered the correct minimum and maximum stay and finally be sure to take note of blackout periods as around peak times these take effect examples: Christmas and mid Summer. Note all these conditions are to be taken into account when booking cheap fairs.
On the website there is many different features such as timetables, route map, destinations, frequently asked questions, investor information conditions of flight etc. These are so you have all the information you need for booking your flight.
I believe that cheap airfares is the way the future is going and soon all airline will have have to change their ways and cut their fares. With this either the quality of service will go up as all the airlines are competing soon hard that they are lowering fairs and raising quality or in the other situation which is more likely to happen, in my opinion, fairs will go down and so will quality. This will make is easier for everyone to travel by air but it will also make air rage and more common accurance. As many more larger louts and other unwanted people will get on board planes as competition will be so high.
The pros of booking online with Ryanair is the cheap fair you will get, it is very easy to navigate. The cons are the quality of service you will receive on board, how unreliable Ryanair are.
