Well if there is still anyone out there that as a student does not take advantage of student fares, read on.
Student fares are availlable for almost all flights OUTSIDE of the united states or for international flights originating in the US. Even compared to prices from deep discount travel agaents or online sites like travelocity and expedia student travel agents can offer significant savings.
Now I'm not in anyway affiliated with any agency but as a 24 year old student I have spent A LOT of time traveling and have saved hundreds using student discounts.
My favorite agency...STA tarvel...originally out of australia STA operates in most countries in the world and consistently beats prices from otehrs. they can be reached on the web at statravle.com or at 1-800-777-0112 is the USA.
Another posssibility is council travel which offers similar fares but operates in far fewer countries and is generally more rude on the phone :)
