Traveling with kids is enough to make you pause and think, but it can be fun. One of the most important things is being sure to get the right seats..When traveling with other adults the best seat is always near an exit, but most airlines do not like to have young children there, although I have sat there with my 10 year old. If you can not get an exit seat, the next best one is the one behind the bulk head, there is plenty of room and no one in front of you to bother. The second to remember is their favorite snack. Most airlines serve nothing more than peanuts and soda or water. Be sure to pack plenty of new surprises for them to keep them occupied, coloring books, crayons and for the older ones a hand held game is always a good bet. Be sure to check with your doctor about giving them motion sickness medications if needed. Traveling can be fun, all it takes is planning.
