I really liked the set-up of this ad. Good views of the vehicle and a clear voice. Good lighting and a clear picture. Although, I do think it should have been a little more verbal. A little biography of the van from the day she bought it would have made more of an impact at the beginning and would have concentrated the ad more on the van than the people.
I think that more information should have been given about why the van was such a lemon, why it had been returned to the dealership fifteen times. I also think that a few comments from the other people in the ad were in order. Also, maybe a few more people should have been confronted with the situation and should have given some kind of response.
Overall, it did have the right effect and the meaning of it was clear. I particularly liked the fact that the owner was trying to give it away, an insult to the manufacturer. I, personally, would have junked it out and at least received my down-payment back.
One thing I have noticed about all the epinions ads is that they are pitifully short and don't allow the introducer enough time to make an impact on the viewer
A lot better quality than the previous ads for epinions, I think we are making improvements and are on our way to the professionalism that a TV ad requires. A little more length would allow great improvement.
