I just saw the commerical on prime-time television regarding the Medela Mini Electric "breast pump" advertising epinions.com and found it, in my opinion, unprofessional, embarrassing and appalling.
Please don't get the wrong idea thinking I am against breastfeeding, because I am not. It is a wonderful bonding experience, and better for the baby -- and I did it with my daughter, but in my opinion, this is a personal thing and should not be demonstrated on national television. Plus, IF it were to be demonstrated - it should be done right so future breast feeders could see exactly how it is done as in proper placement, etc.
Than, as far as answering the door and asking the pizza delivery guy to hold the pump was appalling.... and speaking of appalling, how about the cat licking the bottle while she was pumping ---- and the whirling sound??? is it run on batteries??
Enough on my soapbox, I just had to vent! I hope they pull the commercial and pronto.
I am sure epinions could find plenty of other valuable subjects to advertise the website. There certainly are thousands of topics to choose from. I am sure it would draw more people if they showed, for example car seats, toys, cars, beanie babies, even food and recipes for special occassions.
