This was the first new commercial I viewed. Here we meet Karen trying desperately to give away her Voyager minivan. No cost, just take it!!! Now you know things are bad if they're offering that.
There's a brilliance in the way she did this commercial. First of all, the public will hear the word free and think, "wow, the minivan is free then Epinions must be free. Maybe I should check this out." Free is always a big seller.
Another humorous part to this contending commercial was the look on the man's face when she asks him if he wants her van. He was perfect in his response, "what's the catch." Yes, that's another brilliant pitch that Epinions may capitalize on. Usually, there are always catches. She once again demonstrates the honesty and determination of the Epinions community, by telling the man the exact problems with her vehicle.
The 3 new choices for commercials are all outstanding. So this is probably the most difficult decision I have to make as an Epinions member. I loved Angie's review of the beer and I loved this review from a business stand point.
I think, this decision has to fall on what commercial will have the most appeal for the site. Therefore, I have to give the award to Kate. Fantastic job, Kate!!!
I would also like to give our 2 new runners up a big applause, because both of their commercials were better than the 4 previous choices.
