My husband & I own a travel agency in a small rural town in Washington State. We also own a nursery & irrigation business in our little farm town. We are basically called the back door to Seattle as we are about 85 miles east of Seattle right in the Cascade Mountains.
We really enjoy traveling when we get the time. It's so much fun checking out new places for our clients.
With the nursery & irrigation business, our spring and summer are filled with long hours but it's so nice to help customers create beautiful landscaping. You can take an old shack and put a potful of flowers by the front door and make it look like a mansion. We find that most people who enjoy gardening are all family oriented and really love their homes and family life. We joke at the nursery & irrigation since we own the travel agency that you can come in and buy your products and then we can tell you where to go. We have a lot of fun with our customers.
We also farm and raise hay & cattle. We have two sons who are grown and on their own. We have four grandchildren and the kids love to come and see grandma and grandpa. We enjoy our family and feel very blessed for all that we have been given and been able to do. It keeps us busy but it also keeps us active and contributing to trying to make a better world for everyone.
