I've been called a music Nazi, elitist, snob etc because I'm very opinionated about music. But I think/hope I've toned it down a little over the last few years. Contrary to what some of my reviews would have you believe, I am very critical of my favorite bands (Metallica and AC/DC, to name a couple), and even more critical of music I don't like. I plan on revising or removing some of my older reviews and writing at least a handful of new ones in the near future. I hope you enjoy reading them and I hope they are helpful to you. During my six year absence from epinions, I've become a better writer and I hope that will show in my future reviews.
You might notice that I give a lot of 'five-star' ratings here. There is a method to my madness. Even though I might compare what I'm reviewing, say an album, to previous albums by the same band, or to albums by other bands while I'm writing the review, I don't give that album a star rating according to how it compares to others. I rate each album individually, based on its own merits.
