About _edge
Since 2004, I have been busy with some freelance projects and contracting for Microsoft. If you're interested in visual art commentary and news in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, check out Artdish (www.artdish.com). It's a site that I've worked on since its launch in 1999. The site has grown in content from regular and guest contributors, focusing not only on art reviews, but includes political and culture commentary. That's my 2-cent plug for Artdish! Enjoy. My passions include food, music and film. I enjoy travel -- but only make it to Vancouver, B.C., which is, perhaps, the best West Coast city in North America. (Sorry, San Francisco, I haven't left my heart there since I haven't been). Portland is another fine city, too. I also like checking out film festivals when out of town, and have been to the Dreamspeakers Film Forum in Edmonton, Alberta, which emphasizes contemporary First Nations Canadian and American cinema. And in December 2004, I visited Whistler, B.C., to check out their 4th Annual Whistler Film Fest. An excellent location for a fest, which should be dubbed "Snowdance"! Meanwhile, as a tech geek, I like checking out various web sites, preferring to surf the web as opposed to checking out TV. I look forward to TiVO's collaborative efforts with Netflix, though. Finally, if you get Canadian television, tune in to ZeD, which lights up right after The National on Monday through Friday, or dial it in on zed.cbc.ca anytime. Cheers!
