I'm a native Texan who moved to New York after college and landed in Southern California in 1983. While living in New York I created the teen magazine, SuperTeen, and had a ball interviewing movie, TV and rock stars. Since moving to LA, I've worked as editor of a trade magazine for the furniture industry, managing editor of the Fielding travel guide series and supervised annual reports for major companies in Los Angeles and Orange County. Currently I'm working as a freelance writer for several publications and web sites. I'm a movie buff and see at least two movies a week. My other main interests are books, gardening, arts and crafts and animals. I edit a newsletter on endangered animals that is distributed to members of the Peace Corps. I'm working on a novel that I hope to finish in a few months. My boyfriend and I have a great interest in cactus and succulents and we have amassed quite a collection of them. We go to cactus shows throughout the year and have also bought several books to study all the different species. I guess you could say I'm a part time Martha Stewart. I love gardening and cooking when I have the time and I also love to work on craft projects. When I'm not working I love getting out of town for weekend getaways to places like San Diego, Santa Barbara, Catalina or Las Vegas. My all time favorite vacation spot is Vancouver, B.C. Canada. It's such a fabulous city I would love to move there someday.
