Personal...
Yo, my name is Thomas and I hail from Boynton Beach, Florida. In case you have never been to Boynton Beach and chances are you haven't, I'm describe it alittle for you. The city is relatively small with only places to really meet people are at school, the Boynton library, or the Hester Center where you can workout or play basketball which is the game of choice here. I love all types of hiphop IF IT'S GOOD!!! and name just about any genre of it, chances are I have heard an artist from it. The thing is I'm label as a backpacker because of my complete distaste of the
commercial trash you see on BET, MTV, or hear on the repeat machine aka the radio. What I never can understand is how people throw $14-$20 on an album that shows you everything it has to offer after about 7 tracks on a 20 track album. Would you pay to have your teacher teach you the EXACT same thing OVER, AND OVER again every single day for the past what? 13 years? My personal favorite rap artists are Nas,Kool Keith, and
Xzibit. Football is my beloved sport, and I
could probably watch games all day if that many were being shown. My favorite team is the local Miami Dolphins who had a dismal year as a franchise BUT with the addition of Nick Saban, that dynamic offensive coordinator. We need to have a turn around like the Chargers had this year
(let's hope we actually can not be upset by the underdog though)
TO BE CONTINUED
Well, the draft is over 2 months in the past and now I fairly disappointed with the addition of the now overrated Ronnie Brown (he's supposed to be the new Marshall Faulk), a gigatic negative on that one son. I mean I may be hating on him but he's going to have to prove to me that he deserved the number 2 selection in the draft. Until then the Bears will be enjoying having the potential and soon to be Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Likes And Reviewing Tendencies...
I love underground rap, but I'm still respect mainstream artists. Common, Nas, and Ludacris(barely) are holding it down for the mainstream. Now and until I reach my 50th or maybe even 100th review, I will not be reviewing albums that all the other magnificent reviewers have already touched. I got advice form someone and I'm sticking to it. What I don't like is whack filled rap, no matter what form its in. Usually it's in commercial form, but there are underground artist that need to never pick up a mic. Latreef would be one. El-P is overrated as rapper and needs to stick to his obnoxious beats. I desipe when people overrate something just because it's different. This picture pretty much sums up my feelings:
Lately, I have been listening to Papoose's mixtapes and really getting into him, he is more of a simple rapper, but this guy is the return of Big L...Seriously...Just check out this video and tell me his punchline do not remind of you of L and have you saying WOW!!!!
My Rating System
= An esstenial buy or a classic album!
= A solid effort, no classic but worth your time and money
= Average, it's up to your personal tastes whether you would this album.
= It's terrible. Stay away from this shattering album...
= I listen to this trash so you don't have to. Listening to this album may cause bleeding of the ears or uncontrollable vomiting.
