I'm a stay home mom of a 6 yr old boy and a 2 yr old girl (as of summer 03), and that's about the last thing I thought I would be doing when I finished college. (You might say I earned my Bachelor's at UGA, but I'm working on my "masters" in mommy-hood! :-) I have a lot of respect for people who put others before themselves, as those types are beginning to be the exception rather than the rule.
My family and I enjoy traveling with my husband's job, seeing things we didn't know if we ever would or not. The world holds a lot of beautiful treasures, and it's a shame that so many don't get to enjoy them. We've been lucky.
I'm married to Mike, who works for a British Communications company as a computer engineer. That's how we met actually - through our jobs. Before I became a mom, I was a trainer for a large communications company.
Our biggest "dream" is find a nice old home to renovate somewhere in the country, have a huge garden and several animals.
I don't have a belief that my opinion is right or wrong. It's just my opinion based on my experience. I'll tell you what my impression is/ was and maybe that will help you make a more informed decision (hopefully).
