Alright, I'm pullin a Source move here. I'm rating by MICS now. No corrupt or biased ratings...I promise...
5 Mics - Virtually perfect hip hop. So it's virtually impossible to acheive.
4.5 Mics - Highly superior. Near perfect hip hop. I don't slap this on too many albums either.
4 Mics - Very polished. Much work put into it. Upper crust material, with maybe 1 or 2 blemishes.
3.5 Mics - Usually the highest rating the average rapper is able to achieve. Very solid, consistant, polished...
3 Mics - Decent to good. Makes for a good enough listen.
2.5 Mics - Average to mediocre. Underwhelming, boring...
Everything else is crap...
For anyone that has read my older stuff, I'd say my opinions have changed a little, as has my tolerance for flawed music.
