About arstevens
Alice Stevens has been an avid reader since the age of 4. She is also a passionate movie-goer and fan. But,books are her main thing. They've been with her through thick and thin, marriage and babies, divorce and career changes, funerals and weddings, highs and lows.

Back in 1974, she received her Masters in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and did her thesis on Faulkner, who is her favorite American novelist. Her favorite dead poet is W. B. Yeats and favorite living poet is Adrian Rich.
Favorite books of all times are: Henry James' Portrait of a Lady, Tolstoi's War and Peace, Bronte's Jane Eyre, and Toni Morrison's Beloved.

Alice studied modern American Poetry and fiction in the creative writing workshops at UIC and has published numerous poems in literary magazines including Oyez Review, Sou'western, and Black Maria.
