About atruelove99

I like US and UK (and some foreign) movies from 30's onwards; especially the efforts of UK Radio/TV - and Movie- comedians going way back..the VHS and DVD's - (mostly Region 2) of these movies exist - but are fast disappearing. [Their TV compilations might be a different story] However, Ebay offerings (cheaply copied from film) have come to light...
Examples: UK: Tommy Handley (2, in various combinations-the 2 movies on 1 DVD is best), Tony Hancock (2 movies & of course complete TV show episodes), George Formby (EBay-about 12), Arthur Askey (Ghost Train + another 12 or so), Flanaghan & Allen (about 1), Tommy Trinder (box DVD`set recently issued), Kenneth Horne/Richard Murdoch (a few cameos, etc), Old Mother Riley (~12 on EBay), Norman Wisdom (~8), Frankie Howerd (~4), Jessie Matthews (2-3, see Ebay), Gracie Fields (box Sets & a rare post WW-II movie), Frank Randall(~8), Anna Neagle (Box set); recent DVD's of obscure WWII (esp Northern) comedians: Jewell & Warriss etc.
To repeat, almost all Region 2 DVDs. (Get $99 global player from Sams Club). Don't expect too much from the Ebay DVD collections
US: Frances Langford (~3); Joe E. Brown (eBay); Amos'n'Andy; various compilations like "New Faces"; and increasing number of DVD box sets (Ginger Rogers etc)
