I was born in Glasgow, Scotland but since my family emigrated to California when I was two, I feel like a native Californian.
I am an avid reader, usually with 2-3 books going at once. My favorites are who-dun-its, but I also enjoy biographies and anything historical.
I have a huge collection of Elvis and Gone With the Wind memorabilia. Through this I became addicted to online auctions, though I have recently replaced collecting with a new passion for genealogy. I spend hours at ancestry sites hunting for dead rellies.
In my spare (?) time, I knit, crochet and work with ceramics.
I love to travel. My dream vacation would be an around the world cruise!
I was employed as a contract administrator/customer service specialist for a national paint company, specializing in marine and military specification coatings. I was there 35 years, before being made redundant. I'm taking the time to improve my health (knee surgery) and maybe travel before I look for other employment.
