Wow, nine years at Epinions (with six straight years of activity now), give or take the year and a half I took off. In addition, I recently returned as a staff writer at Gaming Target, where I was formerly the editor-in-chief of all things PlayStation.Currently I'm the owner of a PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, DS, Wii and Xbox 360. The PS3 is generally my primary machine, as the 360 gets little play...when you've been a 360 owner for 2 years and already on your third machine, one finds themselves less interested in dealing with mediocre product. I still play it for games I can only get on 360, but otherwise, it's not my go-to console anymore. The Wii...it's a bowling console and little else. The worst "market leader" gaming machine in the history of the medium by far.
I rarely write negative reviews, not because I like everything, it's that I rarely get motivated to write a review on something I don't like, unless the hate is seething...and that rarely happens because I choose game buys carefully mostly knowing whether I'd like it or not. I would rather spend a couple hours writing about a game that I enjoy that's overlooked or even unfairly criticized than pick something apart.
