The photo is me and my wife at Halloween 2003 - I'm the goofy looking one, she's the hottie.
I enjoy 35mm photography, music, electronics, golf and University of Illinois football and basketball (well at least I've enjoyed basketball lately). My wife and I have two wonderful small kids.
Professionally, I have a B.S. in Secondary Education (certified to teach just about everything in social studies) and a Master's in Public Administration. I have worked for the State of Illinois in various positions for several years.
I rate reviews based on the following criteria, in this order: accuracy, objectivity, entertainment and whether it's apparent the reviewer actually owns (or experienced) the product/service in question.
You'll find most of my reviews are at the extremes, very few with 3 stars. This is a result of my tendency to write reviews about products I feel stongly about, either positively or negatively. Most products and services I encounter fall in the middle, and thus not really worthy of a review. I write reviews to clue people in on my really good experiences and also the really bad ones.
Implicit in this approach is another tenet of mine at Epinions. I only write about products and services I actually have used. I do not write about it if I haven't used it.
