I feel it's only fair to give an explanation of my ratings given that I do take the time to rate many opinions. Afterall, when you rate someone's opinion, you're putting your seal of approval/disapproval on them. So, I carefully choose my rating based on certain criteria which are listed below and categorized by rating.
NOT RECOMMENDED:
A not recommended opinion must be either far too short to effectively present a product, or the logic must be severely flawed. Some categories require more critical thinking than others, and will be judged by a harsher standard. Other not recommended opinions show no knowledge of the particular subject matter.
SOMEWHAT RECOMMENDED:
Somewhat recommended opinions are very different from not recommended opinions. They are usually opinions that are reasonable in the overall recommendation, but fail to explain it convincingly. This rating often goes to opinions that fall short on logic or length to earn a higher rating.
RECOMMENDED: Recommended opinions must clearly present their case and use information to back it up. If logic beyond experience is used, it must be accurate, as well. Recommended opinions are generally longer and take time to inspect particular aspects of the product.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:
Due to the large amount of opinions, this category is reserved for outstanding opinions that demonstrate a great knowledge of the reviewed product. Generally, these opinions look in depth at several aspects of the product and take time to develop the reasoning behind the recommendation.
