I am a 24 year-old, gay male (I only mention this because, like...hello, I'm reviewing beauty products and I know you're wondering! Come on, admit it). I used to be a cosmetician, so I know a bit about beauty products. And I've probably tried most of them...just be thankful that you don't have to work with me, and listen to me obsess about getting shiny hair or glowing skin.
I am currently a full-time Anthropology student.
One note on my rating of reviews:
I tend to rate based on whether or not your review would help me to decide if I'm going to buy the product you're reviewing, which I believe is how it is supposed to work. I'm not going to give everybody a "Very Helpful" review for the sake of getting the same rating on my reviews. The biggest example is a fragrance review; no matter how good the review is, if it doesn't mention the notes of the fragrance, it's useless in helping me decide if I'm going to try the fragrance. To me, that is the MOST important part of a fragrance review, and too many reviews are missing the info. I am always willing to re-rate a review once it's been amended, and I will almost always leave a comment if I give a review that's less than helpful. Usually, I will also leave a comment if I think the review is Helpful but could be Very Helpful.
